The name of this anime – “Short Peace” – can also be translated as a “short meter”, which is closer to the planes of the creators of this collection of anime novel. On this media project, the team of the creators worked for two years, the first two parts were released in 2012, and the next two in 2013. And then his fruits reached us.
Seeing the review of this anime in the good magazine “World of Fantasy”, I wanted to see it. In the magazine “Disruption of flights”, this work of anime industry is compared with the “Memories of the Future” and “Princess Mononoka”, but everything turned out to be much worse. Well, maybe not worse, but worse, definitely.
Brief impressions of viewing
The anime is a collection of four parts, the action of each of them takes place at one point of space, somewhere near the Fuji Mountain, (this seems to be somewhere in Japan, you know :), but it is spaced in time.
The duration of the anime is about an hour, but the flight of the creators does not take the fantasy of the creators all the time, for some time it takes to view the preface and final credits. The prologue is very interesting, cyber-fantastic, and it seems that it is in no way connected with the main parts. He is strange and mysterious, and reminded me of Pale Cocoon, if you introduce four parts of the almanac, like excerpts of information from the past Earth. All parts are short, and their duration increases as you look at.
First part “Dalv“(it seems like this) tells about the strange night of the tramp-craftsman in an abandoned temple, which is inhabited by the spirits of old things.

The remaining only girl in the village, the brave samurai and a bunch of soldiers with their commander complement the story.
And, it seems, the concerns of a good monster do not end with the victory over the evil. Or I didn’t understand something. Yes, there is a happy ending.
Again, an emotional, but rather fabulous story, in the spirit of “Princess Mononoka”, exactly.
In the fourth part “Goodbye weapons“, to which this collection ends, the action takes place in the post -apocalyptic post -war world.
There is a team of weapons collectors, which barracks in the desert and ruins of cities, looking for treasures or neutralizing the remaining weapons. I will not spoil too much, but it is very interesting to observe the city battles between the team and, it would seem, the combined combat robot.
For some reason, this part reminded me by The Third and Trigan. In the first anime, there is also an armored personnel carrier with a team and desert, in the second desert and humor. Of course, it’s all wrong, but still.
This part is simultaneously a tough and funny story. She had to logically complete this almanac, but the end somehow hung. He is simply torn, and what the scriptwriters wanted to say is incomprehensible.
Probably nothing, these are just four stories connected by a kind of common idea.
The idea of anime is interesting, but something is missing, probably the depth of the plot, although the colors and style in it are great. The design of the heroes of the parts and, as some say, the “drawing” in all parts are the same. You can see the efforts of the animators in creating the picture.
But the conclusion will be like this: “Short Peace” can be seen by the whole family in the break between some long anime series, relax with the soul from the fanservice. Without demanding from this viewing something serious and … entertaining.
Yes, this anime resembles “memories of the future”, but it also resembles an anime collection, supplementing the matrix-“animatric”. And rather is somewhere in the middle between them. “Memories” consist of three parts, and, it seems, history in them are not interconnected.
“Animatrice” consists of several short stories, but which are connected by a common topic.
